John Jack is a dedicated outdoorsman, excelling in snowshoeing, canoeing, camping and nature photography. He is also a dedicated worker for MNS, having played a major role in developing the present Manitoba Naturalists Society. He works tirelessly in the field of nature conservation and appreciation, his approach being always reasonable and thoughtful. He is a Director of the Canadian Nature Federation, and Past President of MNS. With his wife, Ella, he is currently involved in a program of telling school children, both in the classroom and in the field, about the beauty and wonder of nature.
